Last week I was in Las Vegas Tuesday-Friday for the World of Concrete/MCAA Convention. Mackie was inducted (is that the right word?) as President of the MCAA on Thursday night so I was able to be at that dinner. The convention center was huge with tons of exhibits. I wandered through some of the area but it was too much to take in. I really enjoyed 2 of my seminars, both by a excellent speaker. Some of the meetings were way over my head though so those weren't quite as exciting! All in all the trip went pretty good but was so exhausting!
We stayed in The Venetian. It was a really nice hotel with huge rooms. The first couple of times I tried to find my room I got lost. I had to take one elevator from the Lobby to the next Lobby and then wind down a bunch of halls to take the elevator to the sixth floor and then find my room. The place was huge so it made the rooms hard to find. :-)
Here's the entrance to my hotel room...

After the dinner on Thursday night we went to the Beatles show put on by Cirque de Soleil. It was really good but the music was deafening!
